This article is aimed at companies that are looking to get their website online, and want to know how they can brand themselves. But it also applies to the average internet marketer who is wondering how they can brand themselves online and make a name for themselves. Having a website and a brand is certainly the most important thing you can do for yourself online. There are three basic parts to begin with when you’re branding yourself online:

Make sure you do a test run of the person whom you’re planning on hiring for the website. In my experience, there are certain companies which do massive amounts of programming, and won’t give your particular project the attention it deserves. So it’s not always a bad idea to try a single individual or smaller company rather than one of these companies that does a massive amount of websites. There are so many resources for outsourcing your websites online that you have absolutely no excuse not to have a website. In addition to this, you can have your company brand or even your company slogan outsourced. Your company slogan shouldn’t be that difficult to come up with. Just try to think, if you had to sum up your company to somebody say in an elevator in 30 seconds how could you do it? How could you get their interest?

After you have your website and brand, the next step is getting back links. If you’re brand new to Internet Marketing you may not know what I mean. Back links are simply links from other websites to your site. This can be done a myriad of ways but if you’re first starting, why not try something simple? You can create a simple press release at websites such as Webwire. com and that will give you a great start. You can outsource the press release or write it yourself. Writing a press release isn’t the most difficult thing in the world. Just act as though it’s a news story and talk about the site and your company. After this I would suggest simply getting a twitter account and a free blog.
